Our Swiss Water Process decaf undergoes a meticulous process. Firstly cleaned and soaked, caffeine-free green coffee extract is then added to water with the green coffee. This causes a chemical imbalance in the water and the caffeine migrates from the bean into the green coffee extract diffusion. The result? A decaffeinated espresso blend that captures all the flavour, without the caffeine.
Here is an overview of the process our Swiss Water Decaf goes through:
- It's cleaned and soaked.
- Caffeine free green coffee extract is added to the water that the green coffee is in.
- This causes a chemical imbalance in the water as a result the caffeine content migrates from the bean into the green coffee extract diffusion.
- The caffeine is then captured in their carbon filter.
